About us

About us

We are a family group aware of the great importance of nature and its conservation for good living, always remembering that we are part of it. Among our members are biologists, environmental engineers, knowledgeable about ecotourism, water resource management and self-sustainability strategies, among others. Through Oropéndola, we have the privilege and, at the same time, the pleasant responsibility of actively participating in the protection of biodiversity and the ecosystems themselves. Oropéndola, we have the privilege and, at the same time, the pleasant responsibility of actively participating in the protection of biodiversity and the ecosystems themselves.

Oropéndola is a private initiative and project for reforestation and biodiversity conservation, self-financed by offering eco-tourism and soft adventure tourism services in its own area, as well as with its own funds. The project for several years was closed to the public but internally has been a committed work, for more than 18 years.

We believe that it is essential to consider that biodiversity, and nature in general, is the basis on which a good future can be built, for which it is imperative to work all together, at all levels; indeed, "our solutions are in nature".

To demonstrate from practice that a different lifestyle is possible, based on an adequate management of natural resources and in favor of the conservation of biodiversity. For this, experiential activities focused on the generation of ecological and cultural awareness, through positive experiences that allow connecting with nature and enable the empowerment of society towards good living.

Vision

Promote a new vision of being, that reconnects with Mother Nature by valuing the local, based on a responsible consumption of resources, in which each person understands that he/she is interconnected to ecosystems, and that any action could affect the self-sustainability of present and future generations
